German Chamomile, also known as Blue Chamomile is most prized for it's skin care applications. It contains potent anti- inflammatory chemical constituents such as chamazulene and bisabolol that are often isolated and used in numerous skin care formulations. Chamomile has been found to have anti histamine and anti inflammatory properties. It is also considered a tyrosinase inhibitor which can supplement products for brightening and reducing hyperpigmentation.

As with all natural ingredients the best effects are derived form using the complete form rather than just a single part. The oil works well in synergy with other skin care essential oils such as Frankincense, Lavender, Helichrysum, and Carrot Seed. German Chamomile can be beneficial for eczema, inflamed, itchy, healing skin.

Like Roman Chamomile, German Chamomile supports healthy sleep as well as stress relief and relaxation.
