Organic Cedarwood Essential Oil - Atlas Cedarwood
Organic Cedarwood Essential Oil - Atlas Cedarwood
The aroma of Cedarwood is woody and warm with a slight citrusy and balsamic sweetness. This variety is native to the middle east and is a true cedarwood oil, rather than Juniperus virginia which is the red cedar that is used commonly for furniture or closet shelves.
Cedarwood was one of the first oils to be distilled and was prized by the Egyptians, who used it for skincare and embalming practices because of its ability to preserve.
Cedarwood is reported to strengthen the spirit, aid in meditation and grounding, calm, and release feelings of anxiousness. Cedarwood can also be used in a carrier oil to relieve dry skin.
Popular uses are in a carrier oil for massage (15 drops per ounce of oil), sprinkled on a tissue for inhalation, or in an aromatherapy diffuser. Because of its unique therapeutic properties I also use this oil in my Be Calm and Detoxifying Grapefruit Products.

I use the highest quality essential oils sourced from around the world. I feel that much like wine, essential oils have terroir, and are the most potent therapeutically if they are grown in the part of the world where they have grown for centuries. For this reason the best Frankincense comes from Africa, the best Sandalwood from India... Every batch of essential oils that I sell has been tested by Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) to ensure consistent quality.
