Like other cineole rich oils Ravintsara supports the immune system and is an excellent choice for the diffuser and cleaning products areound the house. This is especially true when it is diffused during the flu season.

Ravintsara is distilled from the same type of tree as Ho Wood and Camphor. Its scent reflects this relation as it is bright, fresh, and camphoraceous. Ravintsara speciffically comes from the cineole rich variety of the Cinnamomum camphora tree. Cineole (or 1,8 cineole) is the chemical found in numerous cooling and antiseptic essential oils such as Eucalyptus and Niaouli.

I also love to put some Ravintsara in the shower to refresh and clear my head after a long day... I just put a few drops on the wall to the side of the flow of the water.

In massage applications Ravintsra can also refresh and can be added to blends for muscle and joint aches and pains.
