Cistus Essential Oil, also known as Rock Rose, is a hearty plant that thrives in inhospitable warm and dry conditions. Its heartiness, much like the oil of the Helichrysum flower makes it a strong addition for aging and troubled skin. Cistus is astringent and tightening. It blends with helichrsyum for a powerhouse skin care serum or lotion.

Cistus is a base note that is versatile for blending. It is a wonderful oil to include in handmade perfumes.

Excellent for increasing circulation in massage oil blends with the carrier oil of your choice. It supports the lymphatic system and can be massaged on lymph nodes when properly diluted in a carrier oil.

Cistus can also be blended for massage that opens the mind and helps break through thought patterns that have become stagnant or unproductive. For this it works well with Cypress, Juniper, Cedarwood, and Benzoin.
